Shower Recipes
This past weekend, we gave a baby shower, and I thought I'd 'pass on' some recipes I used
for the foods. Hope you enjoy them. Maggie
Six-Layer Mexican Dip
~ from Maria Thibodeaux ~
'Layer' in a deep serving dish/tray.
First 'layer' a large can of refried beans.
Second 'layer' store-bought guacamole dip.
Third 'layer' chunky salsa (I used 'mild').
Forth 'layer' sour cream.
Fifth 'layer' grated cheddar cheese.
Sixth 'layer' chopped green onions.
Serve with Tostitos 'Scoops'.
Hawaiian Meatballs

Large bag store bought Italian style precooked meatballs.
Large bottle BBQ sauce (your favorite 'flavor')
Large can chucked pineapple, drained
Large can crushed pineapple
Thaw meatballs overnight in frig. Spray crockpot with Pam.
First, put all meatballs into crockpot, then mix other ingredients,
then pour over meatballs. Carefully coat all meatballs with mix.
Heat on 'high', until all meatballs are heated through, then reduce
setting to 'warm'.
Corn Dip

1 stick butter (real butter)
2 packages cream cheese
1 can Rotel tomatoes
1 small can corn niblets (NOT 'whole kernel), drained
1 small can shoe peg corn, drained (not sure if I spelled that right)
1 packet dried taco seasoning
'Melt' butter and cream cheese together, stirring constantly. When smooth, remove
from heat and add the other ingredients. I used a pretty 1 1/2 quart casserole dish
and sprayed it with Pam. Pour the mixture into the dish and chill in frig for at least
four hours. Serve with either Fritos 'scoops' or Tostidos 'scoops'.
