Coffee Marinate

Have you ever marinated your steaks in coffee? 

I tried this for the first time recently.  After breakfast, I poured the left over coffee in a plastic zip bag, put my steak in the bag and put them in the refrigerator - I left it there until the next afternoon's dinner.  I drained the steak and broiled it to med rare.  It was one of the best, most moist, juiciest steaks I've ever had. 

 It seems like something in the brewed coffee breaks down the fibrous steak and tenderizes it perfectly.  We eat our steaks like this a lot now - simply delicious - let them sit 6 - 8 hours up to overnight.
